yes it is a bit odd.nav is not accessible from screen only hard buttons.and rear feeds are different (as I found when trying to add a raspberry pi)
but still yeah for me...thought they all did that.
and it is very clear another car of mine the quality of camera is poop.
so in answer to the question is it possible
plausible.....(mythbuster style ending) It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

When reverse gear is selected, the touch screen automatically displays a wide angle, colour image from the rear of your vehicle.
The rear view camera system provides a rear view image to assist in reversing the vehicle.
Overlaid on the image are reversing guidelines.
Note: A return icon is displayed in the bottom
right hand corner of the touch screen. Touch
this to revert to the previously viewed screen.
Rear view camera display on the touch screen
will discontinue when either of the following
apply:
• Drive is selected for longer than 15
seconds.
• Drive is selected and/or vehicle speed is
greater than 18 km/h (11 mph).
Then I wonder that the solid line, and the second lot of broken lines, as well as the other horizontal lines mean...
I've found that if you select the rear camera when the car is stopped, the 18kmh limit doesn't apply; very distracting though.

The solid one is the width of the car, the broken ones including your side mirrors. Cheers Patrick from Munich
