Yes lower the fan speed.
Then try and work out which fuse inside is drawing most of the 60ma.
I think if you search for FL18 there is a list somewhere.

FL18 was in the engine fuse bay. I pulled all the fuses and that one took the reading from 0.06 to 0.22
See image attached
I found FL18 is the fuse for the glove box fuses.
So does that indicate that I need to do the amp draw test again but pull glove box fuses one by one and look for changes?
Thanks

So the current has gone up when pulling the fuse ?
If that is really the case, you have woken an ecu up on the car ?
Remove FL18. Put the meter test leads to the visible fuse terminals. Wait 15 mins or more and see what the reading is.
That assumes your meter fuse doesn’t blow.
May need to invest in more equipment

No.
Rather than disconnect the thick cable.
Remove fl 18 and insert the meter leads there. Then wait

Somethings happened!
Been over 12.8v since 1.30pm (even after running the fbh for few minutes) after a long drive seems to be charged well now
Reading 0.7 amps before though so higher than yesterday which is odd
May be the towing electrics which I took the fuse out of
If it is the towing electrics then what would be the solution?
I removed the 12 pic look ages ago… should I recommend this or leave unplugged
The 7 pin wiring is what I use to tow… would it be a new look or could it be a loose wire or what is usually the culprit?
Hopefully whatever’s happened stays good!

Have only removed f8 in glove box (tow wiring)
Removed parrot loom that was still wired in (rest of it was removed ages ago) maybe that made a difference
Voltage is 12.91 now I’ll check again in the morning
If it’s looking good then I’ll plug the tow wiring fuse back in and see if it drops fast again or stays good
The ipcu is damaged as well. I didn’t see sooner as it was behind the glove box. The screen is blank but lights up. It won’t let me lower the fan speed setting. And if I manually put the blowers on full, the ipcu screen flickers on and off (it shouldn’t be on at all without remote switch on) and only does so when fan is manually turned on full blast. Otherwise it stays off. Very odd. I probably damaged it by turning car on without turning the ipcu off prior. If it doesn’t affect the voltage I’ll ignore it. But if it does I’ll replace it and hope it works.

Update:
Frikin multimeter was giving wrong readings!!!!!
Gap IID says it’s on 12.6v soon as I stopped the car and went down to 12.4v within 30 seconds
Currently have tricked the passenger door closed and waiting for car to sleep
Will start pulling glove box fuses one by one today

First you need to check the 2 big fuses under the bonnet. 17 & 18 from memory. To see if it’s leaking down them.
Then it’s only certain fuses in the glovebox to check.
Need to do it without pulling them really.
Put a good multimeter on 200mV . Leads in the volt holes. And measure across the fuse top.
0 means no current flowing.

Sorry. I’m really busy this week.
Further down this thread is a list of glovebox fuses you can check if it’s leaking down fl18

No worries mate
F18 just triggered the car to wake up and f17 set the alarm off so I can’t tell if it is
I’m going to pull a load of fuses such as seats etc and see what happens. Then replace them one by one over a few days and keep my eye on it.
Getting probes in the glove box is a mare with frozen huge hands 😅

This is driving me to the point of insanity now
If I start the piece of crap it goes to 14.2v
Turn the ignition off but 2 clicks on barrel so the GAP IID tool reads voltage
It drops from 13.9v to 12.2v over about 90 seconds
I’ve done this repeatedly in between pulling about 20 fuses including heater, seats, sat nav disc, suspension, glow plugs, tow electrics, relays and so on
But it still keeps dropping as soon as the engine stops
The multi meter isn’t reading any more I’ve gone through about 5 of them now just keep breaking pointless buying an expensive one if im learning and will knacker it so quick

You can’t rely on the iid reading. It’s just a guide.
You need a reasonable meter or current clamp as previous links
