Premium Navigation UTM coordinates?

Went offroading this weekend with detailed maps only to find that the books were in UTM and the LR navigation on my '08 HSE was in degrees!! Is there any way to input UTM into the LR navigation?

If there isn't, anyone know of a good way to convert? Are there published tables with conversions that I could buy / print out?

A quick Google found THIS amongst others.

The formulae for convertion are pretty complex, and the link above includes a spreadsheet. There was also an on-line convertor in the Google search "UTM to Degrees"

The LR system only accepts degrees/minutes/seconds.

Thanks Gareth. I had found that and thought it a bit daunting! I was more thinking of a very thick book where you could look up coordinates in one system and the corresponding coordinates in the other system would be listed alongside.

I think what I'll have to do from now on is map the route completely in advance (ie at home), doing the conversions on my computer. It would be nice to be able to convert in the field, though.

A bit of a dissappointment that LR navigation doesn't take UTM! Evil or Very Mad
