Sliders have not been designed yet, but the aformentioned fellas offered me free sliders if I gave them my truck (to use as a model to develop the sliders!)
TC: Traction Control
LR: Land Rover
CDL: Centre Diff Lock
CO: Colorado
VT: Vermont
Ducati, there is a minimal protection kit fitted to UK models, certainly not enough to do off roading with intent. The Jag sump on the TDV6 is also a problem as it does not hold enough oil at certain angles, not sure about the V8. Installing the sliders may be a problem due to the air tank, which may have to be removed for installation, which could be a pain.

Slimer, sliders are long bits of steel that run along the edges of the car usually under the doors lengthways. These are very sturdy and allow the vehicle to literally slide across rocks and obstacles like a sledge and avoid damaging the sills. etc.
Diff protection are like big bowls that clamp around the differentials to do the same thing.
Sump guards are usually alloy and go under the steering and sump. Rear exit (steady lads) is yet another lump of alloy to allow the rear to slide over obstacles when the back is on the ground due to steep or acute angles.

Know what they are, confused about them already been included on the LR3. I know there are market variations but didn't think it went so far as to having all the underbody protection already included in the US.
Talking of Diffs, I've got the active rear one, but the question is how do I know it's really there? Guess I need to compare my rear diff with a non-active one, looks like I'll be looking under D3 rears at Billing  The End

Slimer, just because you have an active rear, doesn't mean that you can look under other peoples rears you know 
Do you mean that you actually have a rear diiflock?

Yup, added it on along with the full Sat Nav/4x4 info package and bright pack, "TDV6 S+"
The 4x4 info screen shows the rear locker but it's just a little icon, knowing the D3 softeare that's no guarantee it's actually there  The End

That was the intention  
Ordered it along with the car as it's a factory fit only option and can't be added on later so, though no doubt a 3rd party option will emerge, though how it'll integrate with the TR I don't know
I tend to keep my cars for a long time, so although I'm currently trying to keep it in pristine condition once it's suffered a bit of car park damage I'll have no issues with putting the TR to full use. That's the point when the rock sliders etc, will be needed The End

The rear difflock is very good. I don't have one on the D3, but do on the imminent HSE. I have used the rear difflock and it is extremely good with TC. Wonder if our US friends have any fitted?

Don't like the sound of that What I may consider later is an air lock diff. These will be on a friend of mines stand (blow me down his name is Simon also) at Billing.
When you get there, we can maybe have a walk around and I will introduce you to a few of the Landy dealers and accessory manufacturers I know.

The rear difflock icon shows on all models, it just doesn't lock up if its not there. I don't have it but do have the icon. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
