Prospeed Compressor Guard
For those of you with one of these, does it attach to or just rest against the chassis rail on the inboard side? Where are the fixing at the sill side, with or without the sliders? Does it sit proud of the factory plastic cover, or does it touch anywhere - of so, any rattles or vibrations? Considering fitting to a MY14 D4....
Thanks!

It hooks onto the chassis rail and two bolts into the sill. I had to remove mine as it was making an awful noise, clunking. Took me a few weeks to find out what it was. I will have a look in the coming weeks how to quieten it down.

It hooks on the inside of the chassis rail (through an existing hole) and then tightens with a bolt.
The body side bolts in to existing bosses under the cill but you won't find them with the plastic trim on place. If you have the sliders then you'll be removing the plastic trim anyway, if not the I presume that you can re-fit the trim after putting the guard on (but I'm only guessing at that).
I found that grit gets between the guard and chassis rail after green laning and makes an awful noise whenever you brake or corner. The fix I've found is to pack plenty of copper grease between them and keep the bolt tight.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

I got the guard and sill holes are logical but am i missing something on the chassis rail bolt like a some sort of hook which goes into the chassis hole and bolts to the guard?..

hook found install seems so easy now
It indeed is tight fit with plastics left on but looks to be very tough
