Protective polishes.

Drove home in the new D4 today. pouring rain (thats the polite term) from Midlands to West Berkshire. Really horrible. Very impressed with the car. Was offered Supaguard which I turned down but local dealer has pointed me towards Zymol(?) much the same thing I assume but very much cheaper. £200+ less. The Zymol website seems classy but then? Any views. I know that I could wash, wax and polish myself but I am getting pretty long in the tooth and even, perhaps a bit lazy

Can only comment on my experience. Mine had Supaguard protection when purchased new. Its 4 years old now and still looks great. Its black and had plenty of time in the sun.

Zymol are very good WAXES for a long lasting sealant have a look at Zaino, done properly is great stuff and IMO better than Supaguard
Ps you can pick the Supaguard stuff up on ebay for under a tenner if you really want it Wink

If you feel really brave you could try Nanolex Professional, it's a sealant that will protect the bodywork and wheels which lasts around 3 years. I applied it to my 'weekend' car 6 months ago and it's fantastic, washing is easy as the dirt and brake dust just slides off (you barely need to use shampoo), I will be applying it to my new D4 when it arrives. I would rate it above Zymol or Swisswax in my experience, but you need to have some idea of what you're doing i.e clay the car, clean the paint and then apply in small patches, polishing off in 15 mins or so before it cures.
