Puddles and loss of power steering.... |
|
in the south we have a lot of standing water at present due to the storms, normally i just blast straight through without giving it a thought.... but this time its different!.... i am loosing my power steering and hearing what appears to be a slipping belt? before it kicks back in...this has not happened before and i have driven in fairly deep water... i have had the car serviced by an inde and i'm wondering if i have a loose belt ?
scuse the nobby question but does the power steering pump have a belt? lf so is it an easy adjustment? i'm lovin it....

Twizzle - yes quite probably,
When filled with water up inside the engine at speed as you blast through can reduce the friction on the PS drive resulting in a loss of PS until the water clears.....
Get the adjustment checked and drive slower through puddles FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!
