Puzzled about tool firmware "update"
Hi everyone,
After using my IIDTool BT to pull off some info for the dealer over an issue I'm reporting to them, decided it was about time I updated it, not having done it for some months.
Yeah, I know, should probably have done that the other way round, but hey ho.
Somewhat puzzled though to see that the device is running V3.00.00 B2624, but the updater tool is wanting to "update" to V3.00.00 B2481.
I'm not the best at maths, but 2481 is lower than 2624, shouldn't the build number go up, not down?

Has there been a roll back in code versions I've missed, or should I go ahead and "update" my device with the lower build number?
The updater is a fresh install today direct off the web site, as it's normally on my laptop, but I can't be bothered to boot that up so installed instead on my desktop.

B2624 is the latest update, if it doesn't update when you click on it to do, so just disconnect and load the whole process again and it should work. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

My guess is you’re using “updater” and not “updater2”, delete updater from your computer and download ”updater2” then connect your Iid tool to the computer and download the latest software. If you have purchased any special software in the past it will be displayed in the options and not lost and can be downloaded if needed It can when others can't,

Thanks M3DPO, but it's deffo the latest Updater 2, as I had to download it today.
Not bought any updates, so intrigued to know what the Special one listed is for, but it's always been there, or one has anyway.
Maybe B2481 is the previous release version, and is offered so I can roll back if I don't like the current latest version, or it's found to be buggy?

I checked mine before I posted above, a box came up saying I had the latest firmware and did I want to reload the same version?
I have the IID BT version, perhaps you guys have the pro version?

The updater 2 software I've downloaded is V4.6 and was last modified on 17-02-2016 so perhaps this is the issue?

That's the correct updater alright, (V4.6) same as mine. I had this issue as well so I disconnected the tool and closed the updater completely. Then started it up again, waited 10 secs and then clicked "find device" and the latest firmware appeared. Trial and error and you should succeed yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I have tried to update the firmware on my device several times this morning following the reading of this thread. I’m running Updater 2, V4.6, but like others the latest update option (which is already installed) is 3.00.00 B2481. I cannot see the B2624 edition. How do I get it please?

Where is updater 2? Every time I try to download the update, I get version 4.1. This is on a mac. I see no where else to download a different version.
