Quick Ad blue question
Quick question, mainly for folks and I CBAed looking, is there any way of checking the Ad blue level on a 66 plate Landmark?
TIA.

Yes.
Turn the ignition on, but not the engine.
Wait until the display gives you the option to press “OK” on the steering wheel.
Press it twice.
Use the up and down arrows to toggle to Vehicle Infirmation.
Press OK
Toggle to Next Service
Press OK
It will display miles to next service AND how much AdBlue is left2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I think its a case of following the prompt in the service maintenance menu. If not this might hold something of use to you.

The reply was “oh is it?”. This was after thoroughly checking the menus & manuals. Supposedly.
Yes service menu & exhaust fluid, they were looking for “ad blue”.

As above
I ordered 20 litres for £10.99 inc. from eBay in May this year. I emptied the container last week. The tank was 1/3 full when I first topped it up in May and was filled to the brim last week.
During that time the D4 has done c. 9,500 miles.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

So that’s 9.5k for the initial fill (17ltrs?) and 20ltrs?
Trying to work out what’s happened consumption wise for the folks. Do they routinely fill the ad blue during the service or is it an “on request” thing? Is the tank full on delivery? They had the 500 miles to go warning at 13000 miles and put in a 11 ltr container (funny amount ). I’m wondering if that’s the initial factory or PDI fill. They then asked the ad blue to be topped up at service last week, menu now shows 10,200 miles after 1000 miles use. Not sure if that’s just what they put in and dealer saw the high range and didn’t bother.

Works on the Evoque as well. Cool, thanks. (It's probably in the manual... )____

Mine nearly goes between services but not quite by about 1k.
That means I’m getting around 15k from a full tank.
As I get it free on a service and I’m tight I just top it up with a few litres to get me to the service.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.

Hi DSL
To try to answer your questions:
Capacity is 17litres
There have been reports of it not being filled when the car is handed over new
It should be filled as part of the service - it is on mine, but for clarity I have the 5 yr plan
I was informed that I can take it in for free top ups anytime. (But I’m not sure if this is just because I have the 5 yr plan).
Twice after 1st two services I have noticed that the mileage left ( per the service menu ref above) has not been topped up. They then topped it up for me. Always worth checking immediately after service. I now mention this issue and request it is topped up when I take it in.
I think about 15000 miles if probably about right. When topped up the range shows about 17500miles or so. I do about 9k miles a year and there is about 6500 left on the range indicator when I take it in for service. The manual states avg of 1ltr = 1600km
Hope this helpsGary

Thanks for the info everyone.
Hmmmm, looks to me more & more like when they ran low it was the first fill running out and not filled up at 1st service. I’m also sceptical that they topped it up at 2nd service last week with that range number.

At least they know how to check it, well for now.
From the one 20L container, I filled the DEF to the brim and then from the same container have been topping it up to the brim again over the last 9.5k miles. The container is now empty.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I've recently purchased a low mileage 2016 Discovery Commercial. I don't have a DPF filler next to my fuel filler cap- and I have no mention of DPF / Add Blue etc in the maintenance menu.
Just wondering why I don't have this on a Commercial?
Seems to me that maybe it's a good thing that I don't?
