I'm always a bit nervous when working with electricity and new wiring...especially in a car....So for some this might be an obvious question:
I'm assuming there are no issues to run a cable direct from the aux battery (Optima Yellow Top), with an in-line fuse, straight to a power socket ?
Or do I need to have circuit brakers, other bits in between...?
I don't want to keep splitting the cable from the Traxide install too much. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

There is nothing at all so stop you doing precisely that. Just be sure to fit the fuse close to the battery, rather than close to the power socket ...Regards,
