I have had a look at this size and there is very little choice, the best I can offer would be the General Grabber 285/35x22 UHP XL, but they are only a 106W load and speed rating, it's an EXTRA LOAD tyre though, these are available for mail order or fitting at our workshop.

I understand that L/Rover do not recomend the 22" wheels because of the poor ride, you would be better off going down to 20".

Hope this is of some help.

Andy.

Pretty sure the Brembo brakes are standard equipment on the V8.

Nope the V8 has std calipers mounted on different brackets on slightly bigger discs (hence the min 18" wheel). Brembos aren't fitted to any D3, only the RRS).

can you get 45's for 22" rims??

Possibly but I doubt you'll fit them under the arches. You >might< be able to get super-fabbo 60 profile on a 22" rim from the US - some of the bg Chevys take huge tyres - but they still need to fit under your arches.

How much did the brembo brakes set you back simonsi? i wanna get them installed preferably in yellow Very Happy

I paid £400 for a full set off eBay (but be careful, there are many sets that look similar but don't quite fit for a variety of reasons), and then had them fitted by JE in Coventry -who can probably quote you for supply and fit in any case.

Yellow. Rolling Eyes Well I've only seen them in black, if you paint them make sure its the right high temp paint....there are some plastic Brembo covers on eBay in a variety of colours..... Rolling with laughter

Laughing so it is... I did so much research on everything under the sun before buying mine that somehow it stuck in my head that Brembo had something to do with the brakes. Was always curious as to why they weren't branded, guess that answers the question! Whistle

The standard brakes on the V8 work beautifully though... I had to do a semi-panic stop from 120 km/h to keep from rear ending a Cayenne Turbo yesterday Shocked and the D3 stopped with little drama and only a slight bit of squeal. SWMBO was not amused.

Don't know if these work in with the 'street look', but -
There's a 40 profile on these [with a load of 114]
They've got a 305 width, BUT don't know if you'll get any rubbing
However these aren't in the UK yet [but are available to special order].

I was looking at a set of 22" rims but having spoken to Andy (Several times - Thanks Andy) I have decided to wait. Was then gonna use the std wheels for off roading - my skill level is zero so that will have to wait to Laughing

Thanks for looking into this for me Andy.

The tyres i have on at the moment are 295/30/r22. will the tyres you mentioned fit the rim. Also what would the diameter be of the wheel with the addition of your tyres. just wanna check incase they touch the arch.

Lastly do you have any pics of these on a car and what will they set me back.

Thanks again.

The 285/35x22 will fit and will be a tad taller but will not improve your ride by much, if at all.

Price is very keen at £125.00 plus the VAT fitted.

If you want to improve the ride you will need to drop down to 20" or even 19", it's very differcult to get the "looks" and the "ride".

Have a look at the 20" Stormer's, floats most people's boat including mine.

Andy.

Anyone tried out the Cooper Zeons LTZ in 305/40-22? I'm very keen on these!! Question is, will they rubb into the arches...

I'm affraid so aswell. I think I've seen a D3 with 305/40-22 but think this was the General Grabber UHP.
