|
Strange thing started to happen with my 55 plate D3, when the rear window heater is switched on the radio stops playing and you just get white noise. Has anyone any ideas please. Loving my D3 55 plate

Check the aerial connectors to the side window glass and the power connectors to the screen .They may have corroded over the years and causing interference.

I’ve had that issue in other cars - always assumed it’s just interference caused by the relatively high current & magnetic fields created by the heater elements.
Similar thing can sometimes happen with your WiFi at home suffering interference when your microwave is switched on. 1981 Unimog U1300L (ex German Army vehicle
