RAF Mountain Rescue in HiLUXs
Now I am a great fan of the RAF Mountain Rescue, and all Mountain Rescue teams come to that.
But i was stunned today when walking across the Car Park at Cairngorm, the RAF Boys were only driving round in Toyota's finest.
i have nothing against the HiLux but the RAF Mountain Rescue has always = Defender. their 110s coming flying round the corner with about 8 bergans on the roof have been a great advert for Land rover over at least the last 20 years.
please don't tell me the coast guard run around in L200s ?
Surely the goverment should be looking closer to home in times like these.

My brother works with the RAF and his fleet of vehicles are mostly the toyota hi-lux. I think that they are lease vehicles, they are probably a lot cheaper than the LR defenders, shame really as the defenders always looked the Mutts.POT NOODLE NAVIGATION CHALLENGE 2010 WINNER

They drive past my front door every now & again from Kinloss (or is it Lossie), don't think I've seen a 110 in the 2 years I've been up here.
