I may be telling you something that you already know but....
I saw this product highly recommended a while back when I was a Saab owner. Anyway couldn't find the product so forgot about it.
It appeared recently on the shelfs of Costco so I grabbed a box to give it it a try.
Well it works, and works well!
Quite easy to apply to a clean windscreen, it beads water and lets it run away very effectively, to the point that windscreen wipers are not always necessary until the rain really starts to come down. Also, dried dead fly seems a lot easier to remove. It is particularly good on the front door windows near the mirrors, ( where there are no wipers) to aid mirror views.
Am nothing to do with said product but just thought I'd pass it on as it is always nice to find something that actually does what it claims to! NOW SOLD: 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Zermatt silver with Alpaca Leather

I've just brought some too, as the new D3 windscreen is splattered with flies which aren't coming off with the rain today. Therefore, the job at the weekend is to give the glass a good clean and protect with RainX.
Many yeas ago when I tried it, I found that it worked well on all the other glass, but no so well on the windscreen as the wipers then left smears. Do you find this? Matt

No haven't noticed this problem, using it at the moment on BMW 523. V good results.
Perhaps you are leaving too much residue after the application? Otherwise dunno.
Thought it might be useful for those splashing through puddles etc. NOW SOLD: 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Zermatt silver with Alpaca Leather

I have used it in the past, but found it made the wipers judder. The water does slide off easy though, I agree, it is very good on side windows.

I've used it on every car I've had for the past 4-5 years, and have found you really have to make sure you get all the residue off, otherwise the wipers do judder slightly and leave smears, but otherwise, I think it's brilliant.

I have used this stuff alot but it now sits on the shelf in my garage.
Pros:
Great for rain and bugs, lasts well
Cons:
Smears when wiping (unless you spend a good long time getting the residue off)
Starburst effect at night with other cars headlights
Overall I prefer wipers and a clear smear free windscreen. I gave it a really good try but could never quite get it to achieve what I wanted. 2008.5 D3 HSE, Stornoway, Ebony
