I was just writing out an email to Pat@gap to sort out a flash file to re flash the software on the ipc and I reckon the car got scared
If you had altered the security on the
Cluster somehow pat couldn’t help you as the iid tool will only write to a blank new one or one with the same security code as the iid tool can not alter any security on the cluster millage ‘ vin and immobiliser cannot be altered with the iid tool
I can of corse as I can access the chip but he couldn’t
The only way would of been to erase the chip and then ask pat then The iid tool would write to it
All I will say is playing with these chips like you are without knowing what you are doing is playing with fire in my opinion just by reading it at 5v on the board could of easy couruppted the chip
No being nasty but would hate for you to kill it and be with out your motor for a while
I know i been there the other week when my phone dies half way through a ccf flash and pat had to save me but that took days

I appreciate that, most of the playing has been with spare dash and I only started with mine to help try and decode the mileage, I have now altered the settings to 3.3 but I still think I’m having issues getting a good read as I’ve noticed that tonight I don’t have my vin on the right hand side but I did have it on the spare cluster once I had written my file to it which doesn’t make sense, it’s not a biggie if I wreck anything and have a hot air station if I need to swap the chip for a blank one, I rang a friend today who does remapping etc to see if he did mileage and he thought I was taking the p*ss as he’s just bought a dash programmer and thought he’d try it on a mates company van to see if it worked and he’s got it stuck on 999999 wooopsie at least mine is my own lolCurrent

Hi James, I seem to remember you saying I needed to get something activated on the IID Tool for the Rev range adjustment, what was it specifically? Done via website or Phonecall?RLD CB Bracket

How I got the extra CCF settings on the IID Tool, emailed him and he enabled. Just not sure now after nearly 1 hour of looking/trying which of the CCF settings is for the rev range.
Can you remember which one it is James?RLD CB Bracket

Sadly not, I did try and see it would work as the Can speeds are different but I thought it was worth a go but even though the necessary data was swapped over when I plugged it in my car wouldn’t start and still wouldn’t start even after swapping back to my cluster so I since gave up. I did get the car running again but it had blown some important fuses so clearly it is more than Can speeds that are different. Mines a 2007 but the Tdv8.Current
