I found it did that when the connections were not on securely. Placed it on better and got everything.

Hi,

can you advise how can I do the same that you made with your instrument cluster. I’ve recently purchased L405 diesel instrument display, and I keen to get installed. If I need to any changes software, eeprom, wiring and etc please send me a private message or share your procedure.

Millon thanks.

New Instrument Cluster

Sadly not, I did try and see it would work as the Can speeds are different but I thought it was worth a go but even though the necessary data was swapped over when I plugged it in my car wouldn’t start and still wouldn’t start even after swapping back to my cluster so I since gave up. I did get the car running again but it had blown some important fuses so clearly it is more than Can speeds that are different. Mines a 2007 but the Tdv8.

Hi Sharpy,

did you finally managed to get the instrument cluster fitted in you vehicle?

If you finally made it, can you advise what are the necessary steps?

Thanks.

Just a quick heads up guys, if you are fitting l322 tft 2010-12 clocks to l320 205-09, as stated above the fuses will blow.

Although the connector is the same pins are different. The fuse that blows is the ACC fuse for the instrument cluster in the CJB.
So dont panic and dont do what I did and restart all modules using JLR SDD.

Just managed to get my RRS back on the road after 4 weeks of diagnostics and wire tracing.

So in summary wiring is different but the plug is the same.
But if you brick your Range dont panic it's all recoverable.

Electrical diagram for D3 - D4

I have the electrical diagram for D3 and RRS 2001-2009, but if someone has a diagram for D4 and RRS 2010-2013 that would be much appreciated. Because I would like to compare the pinout of both instrument cluster for figure out what are the differences.

I just registered and wanted to jump in here to say I hope a solution for the LR3 is found as it would be mega awesome to update a 15 year old vehicle with tech that updates it massively.

I would love this in my lr4 but don’t want to do the programming etc as guaranteed I would break it.

But somebody is able to provide the dash and installation I am sure we could come to an agreement (if you know what I mean)

I may be a bit late on this but do you still offer service in a programming like this for my 2008 Range Rover sport? I have the IID Tool but I’m not sure I can actually program the eprom myself. I am very interested in this.

Re: Electrical diagram for D3 - D4

All, I had a chance to review 05-09 and 10-13 electrical drawings, and I have figured out the mappings between each version. Unfortunately level, pressure and etc sensors have to be re-wired to the body control from the instrument cluster, because all information goes through can bus and the lin. I would like to try it retro fit in the virtual instrument cluster in my own RRS 08, but your help would be much appreciated to get immobiliser and vin code out from the eeprom of existing instrument cluster and get into the new one. I have ordered the mentioned eeprom reader, but some help would be very pleased. If the virtual instrument cluster replacement works I will share all the information that I have in the forum.

I see you’re making progress on an 08 RRS. I have the same vehicle. I wish I could help. I may be attempting it myself.

Question: so this instrument cluster fits the dash of the 08?

The can speeds are different between the 08-10 so it not just the matter of wiring I know I have tried many times so would need some sort of converter to
Be able to talk to the rest of the car it’s the different between say french and English it hasn’t a clue
I have looked into it many times and even extracted the codes from
A d3 dash and put into a lcd dash and it will not work
