So after some time using the boxes and traps I can’t see any sign of them anymore , don’t know how good the food in the syringe is as that’s what I used for the traps
In all honesty don’t know how many there were as must have used around 50 x blocks , did notice at one spot there was a half eaten block with a pile of rat droppings
Will keep the bait boxes out just in case , massive thks once again

Glad you are having some success with the bait stations,don’t forget to top them up on a regular basis or your rats will reinfest. I never had much success with traps and not for the lack of trying. I once put a camera in the trap area and I recorded dozens of rat visits over the course of the night,sometimes coming within millimetres of the bait without touching it.They have this amazing survival strategy called neophobia which has served them well despite being persecuted for thousands of years.

Our place is full of rats: chickens, a nearby river and bits of horse food that we've missed. The pest control chap uses some (licensed) sticky foam to burrow-bait: it sticks to the rats as they pass it, they lick it off and die. Their friends/family-members eat their carcass and they too die. Doing things on a DIY basis can lead to poison-resistant rats.
A polecat has recently joined the fight against the rats - not sure where you get one of those, though!
Final tip: if, for the sake of argument, you have a skip on your premises for another reason, don't throw (say) thirty dead rats into it instead of burning / burying them. The skip company can get really cross when they hand-sort the contents and refuse to bring any more skips.

Indeed have ensured I kept the bait stations topped up , ur not wrong there as some of the traps they managed to get the food off without triggering them
Think my neighbours have also had some success as a team effort ensuring none of us have any rubbish left out and using bait stations to ensure no local cats can get access to the bait blocks

There’s a good u tube channel where a rat guy uses a mink to catch rats , another few where they set up of a night time with a air gun , also heard about some stuff that’s suppose to make the rats infertile
At one time read up about those ultrasonic plug ins that were supposed to deter rats , but reading reviews many were saying there useless
Lol, with regards to the skip
Have my total respect as indeed must be one hell of a challenge trying to get rid of them on farms with so many food sources around
