listening to some of the experts on tv made me think they all died out due to driving big v8 diesels and taking too many long haul flights .

Nothing wrong with double-spacing after full stops. It massively helps with legibility and in turn, to accessibility.

Not sure I can agree on the "organisations are singular"
 I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Oh, they died from climate change, it was just came in a 10km diameter high speed package. I think the package was delivered by Hermes and was actually supposed to be for a neighbour but they just threw it at the Earth to get rid of it.

It can be read two ways. The word "organisations" is plural. An organisation is singular as in one would say "HMRC is investigating" rather than "HMRC are investigating". I wouldn't be surprised to find that most people use the latter, however.
