Hi,
Quick question.
On the LR site at the minute, the D4 which spins around when you play around with colours etc, only shows the model variant i.e. GS, XS or HSE wiith no prefix (other than DISCOVERY 4).
The current brochure (which shows an HSE) shows the variant prefixed by '3.0 TDV6'.
Just wondered, are they ~ and in my case XS ~ coming out of the factory now with or without the prefix? 2015 D4 HSE in Corris Grey

My XS arrived at the dealer's two weeks ago with the 3.0 TDV6 lettering, plus the other bits of the badging. It looked crazy, stretching almost the full width of the car, so I asked the dealer to remove the whole lot. The dealer gulped a bit, but played ball!

Mine arrived with only the 'Discovery 4' lettering and nothing else on the tailgate.
I thought it looked a bit bare so got them to put the 'HSE' lettering on (not the 3.0 TDV6 bit).
If I've spent £50k on a HSE I want people to bloody well know!

A bit worrying if the factory workers are showing the same inconsistence under the bonnet. The older I get, the better I was.

3.0TDV6 should be followed by trim level (HSE etc)
2.7TDV6 will just say TDV6 followed by trim level (or nothing on commercials, base levels)

Mine has the full works - but not sure if brave enough to get scraping to get the HSE and other cr*p off. Despite people saying its easy, with my DIY skills I know I'll screw it up. Might ask the dealer when it first goes back.
The last thing I want to do is shout about the spec level of the car, and I'd much rather it say nothing at all. An LR4 badge would be nice, just to confuse people.
Discretion with cars is always best IMO. 747_JK

You can currently get the TDV6 3.0 HSE genuine badges off ebay for £10 if you feel the need to advertise the fact that you have the new 3.0 SOLD - 23my Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic SE

Well I do. I don't want people thinking that I bought a low-spec model and then up-graded it to a higher one with the help of a faultmate tool or whatever.
I want people to know that I paid through the nose!

I just picked up a LR4 HSE, for my wife,here in the states and while thw window sticker says HSE, there is nothing indicating HSE on the tailgate

Thats odd, I recieved my LR4 HSE Lux in March and it has the LR4 and HSE badges on the tailgate.

Those of you with HSE model but missing HSE badge on the tail gate, talk to your dealer about that.
Certain VIN range was missing HSE badge from the factory. They "forgot" to put them on.
There is a technical service bulleting to put the missing HSE bage. TJ
