Rear Brake disc replacement

I’m going to change my rear discs this weekend, I’ve read the brake bible but I have a couple of questions....

1. When I put the EPB into service mode? Will it go back to the adjusted position it was in previously?

2. Do I have to re-adjust the EPB if I’m not doing anything to the EPB itself?

I don’t use my EPB and it doesn’t squeal etc so I don’t really want to be adjusting it if I can get away with not doing it.[/img]

If your taking the disk off, you definitely need to re adjust.

If you’re taking the disk off, lubricate the rubbing points and clean it all out. Check the pins holding the epb shoes to the backplate.

Use it or lose it.....

Thanks for clearing that up.

Are the pins prone to failing? I’m hoping to get everything I can to do the job once rather than doing it twice.

Yes, they go rusty.
If you’ve not been using it, then perhaps you can allow a bit more time and properly clean and lubricate it up.

Advanced factors do a spring and clip set to go with the epb shoes.
