Rear brake failure (right side)

I noticed today, after a long ride, that I have a squeeling sound coming from my right rear wheel. The brake (or parkingbrake) must be engaged somehow (the wheel was hot and brake "dust" was gathering)

No warning lights at all.....

Sounds like a 'clean and adjust' is necessary. Hopefully your dealer will do it under warranty. The good ones do Thumbs Up

You also could have worn the pad down to the disc and it is steel filings.
Happened on mine.

Ok, the LR is now repaired. Turned out to be a faulty brake caliper. Had to wait over 3 weeks for a replacement...... Shocked anyway its all sorted now. According to my dealer this was not something they had experienced before.

I've just had the same problem on the o/s/r. Only really noticeable after a 20 mile or so run. Stripped rear brakes, calipar piston looked ok so just worked the piston in and out a few times then reassembled, seems ok but will keep an eye on it !!
