Rear Bulb failure

I 've seen some reference on the site to the rear light bulbs failing. Is this a LR known fault, is there a recall or fix and and is anyone collating the problem? A present I am going thru a bulb a week, culminating this week in three rear bulbs failing. Dealer says there is no problem. Confused Any advice would be appreaciated.

What bulbs are you using? Cheap ones may seem a bargain but it's a lot cheaper in the long run to buy quality ones

Matter of fact I was just in yesterday with a failure . Problem I had was when i braked only my top and right brake light worked and in tandem cut out out my rear parking lights. This was pointed out to me by a helpful motorist who pulled up alonside me in traffic and informed me.
I called my dealer who saw me immediately next morning, yesterday, and diagnosed the fault.Thare was a poor earth on the LHS and a semi-blown bulb on the right whre the filament was connecting intermittently.Problem solved.
In the past I've been in three times with blown bulbs front and back and it has been rectified under warranty. I forget what the fault was previously. Its annoying as it happens but for the fact that the my dealer is very obliging and sees to the problem almost immediately.

PS I would INSIST to your dealer that there is a problem.Stand your ground and make record how often they blow.

Blown rear bulbs

Thanks all for your replies. original bulbs lasted about two months (I think), now using either lucas or ring replacements. I'll have to park it on the dealers forecourt for attention - or try LED's!
Thanks,
Nigel Davies
