Rear Camera wont work automatically
Hi Wiggs or anyone else that can help........................please
I have done the snip wire thing and put it in RR mode and installed a rear view camera but it will not move to the screen automatically when you select reverse. If I go into diagnostics mode and select the camera to see if it is working it then shows the display when you put it in the reverse.
I am absolutely lost on what to do next to make this select automatically when reverse is selected.
Do you have any ideas please , please, please

I don't think you do, it should auto switch to reverse camera upon selecting reverse if you have the screen in RR mode.
No idea why yours doesn't. You have allowed the car to go to sleep before trying haven't you?Mods:

You need to enable the reversing camera in the car CCFG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Do you know how you do this at all. I thought it was just supposed to work now it has been changed to RR mode?

Just for everyone's reference I have left it long enough in sleep mode. It is just very frustrating to go to the trouble of fitting this and it knows it is there in diagnostics mode but just wont automatically select
If anyone can help I would be really grateful

You need a diagnostic tool to tell the car it now has a camera installed and it will work upon selecting reverse after that.Mods:

Wiggs also says it should work automatically in another post so not sure what you are talking about????

As Wiggs says it needs enabling in CCF, done the mod on mine today

As Wiggs said, use an IID tool or similar to enable it in the cars configuration file. Did mine a few weeks ago

Think you were the one with the attitude. I only asked a question. A little bit uncalled for I think!
Sorry mattc12345, I'm no expert on the camera but wiggs has stated it quite clearly. The CCF ( car configuration file ) needs an update so the normal operation of the car knows about the camera. Get that done and all will be good..
