Rear diff driveshaft seal - special tool required?
I need to change a driveshaft oil seal on the rear diff. Did one on the front with no problems last year and was going to get Flack to sort this with the upper arms but the mileage in the last few weeks has accelerated the leak so I'll have to get onto it myself this week.
The workshop manual refers to a special tool to extract the seal, is this really required? I can't see it being that difficult to remove with a few hand crafted hook shaped tools?
Any advice appreciated.2011 D4 SDV6 HSE

No special tools needed, just use a big screw driver to remove it, and then a big socket or piece of tube to insert it back in.

Cheers Flack, didn't want to start the job, get that far in and then find out I couldn't do it! 2011 D4 SDV6 HSE
