Rear discs easy haha nearly there
Having done the n/s/rear hub last week the n/s disc was knackered so ordered new discs and pads
I started on the o/s first , my thinking just a pretty simple drop and swop and in good old Geordie tradition "wye aye"
Wheel off ,caliper off ,carrier off slacking off hand brake ,bolt out disc off ,all as quick as lightning
Brake cleaner ,anti seize grease , shoe great condition, new disc on , adjust hand brake torque tight 8 clicks back .
Caliper carrier back on , new pads in piston went straight back
Happy days , well no the bottom plunger on the carrier is seized solid
So I says to myself knew it
Ordered a new one coming tomorrow well me not daft ordered 2 new ones because the n/s got a good chance to be the same
Looking good
Not for long
Discos it's a hobby All transmission oil replaced
3 flash indicators
All timing belts changed
EPB serviced
De cat fitted
Wind deflectors
De-tango done
Tints fitted
Egr blanked

Kind of hoping that this is the source of my slight droning noise as the n/s disc and pads are worn more than this o/s , but I doubt it

For the sake of 10 minutes with some hammerite why not paint the disc centres? They’ll be rusty after about a week if you don’t!
