Rear Offside Door lock and 3 wire splice

Discovered that my rear offside door wasn't locking by accident a few weeks ago when I opened it and the alarm went off.
Thinking it was the actuator, I ordered a 2nd hand lock from a breaker and got round to fitting it today, however still the same fault and door not locking.
Decided to have a rummage around and check the 3 green/white wire splice in the passenger footwell and after removing the passenger seat for easier access found it nicely tucked in the harness, appeared from the outside to be ok and on cutting back the wires looked clean, soldered and shrink wrapped and rebuilt the seat and found that the door now locks as it should.
Lesson learned.

Front parking sensor fault next as I changed out the sensor that was showing as faulty but still have the annoying beeps on start up and fault message.
