My rear park sensors have decided to stop sensing and stay on when reverse is selected (and park brake is off)
I have cleaned the face of the sensor, anyone had similar issues ? and a possible solution?

I have been plagued with this on my current D3 when it rains, so far, wiring checked, connections sealed all to no avail. On the last visit the dealer actually replaced a sensor, and so far its been ok.

Put in reverse and let the handbrake off, while you do this get someone to listen to each sensor, you should hear them clicking, if any are not then they will show the long tone fault.
I had one go yesterday so had to order a sensor.
If none are clicking it will be the loom or control module.
DONT run over the person listening as you have to have the engine running while in reverse with the handbrake off.'Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive'

i have a right rear sensor that plays up now and again .
If i blow round the sensor bezel ..it clears ..then when it rains it seams to show up a fault again .
Suspect water has got in and with the bad weather , frozen at some point ..proberly forcing the sensor apartG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
Can you get them out without taking the bumper off ?

Just a note but mine do the same - hit the wall at my sons nursery on more than one occassion when it rains
Last night (being a bit wet) they refused to work at all until I raised the suspension height and lowered it again. I dont even know why I tried that but it seemed to work. I think I have a dodgy sensor like Wiggs said so will get it looked at when in for its next service.2006 SE - Java Black - Auto

you can remove the two outside ones very easy, but the two middle requires the bumper off. 'Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive'

Count me in, one of my rear sensors is being a proper pain.
After cleaning them and disconnecting the outer two I resorted to screaming at it yesterday and it was good as gold today..

My sensors too have been a bit unstable at first, for so to only work at rare occations this winter . Something a mall wall got to pay for (luckily my dear blue came unharmed from the incident... )
I cant say the rain (or not rain) plays any part in when the system decides to function. Will try to investigate further by listening for the mentioned click when reversing!Club Traxide and dual Optima- red and yellow

Sensors clicking but no warning sounds..
Similar problem but different!!
Sensors cleaned, single beep when you engage reverse but no beeping as you get close to (and then hit!) an obstacle. Any ideas please
