One of my mates d3 rear sensors isn't working and is affecting the other 3,he knows which one it is,can it be disconnected leaving the other 3 to work as normal ?

it may be just a dodgy connection - if you take the rear bumper off you can get to all the sensors to clean the contacts and check for damage.
taking bumper off is a lot easier than you may think Duncan

had a similar issue, and unfortunately as far as I have been able to fiddle, the system won't work without all 4 sensors. you can disable the entire system though. someone with a faultmate or similar can tell you the exact error and identify which sensor is causing the fault, but I read you know already which it is. If it is the left (passenger ) you are lucky and can access it without removing anything.
Like dunc said, have you tried unplugging the offending unit and checking the contacts?
In my case, this didn't work, so had to have the unit replaced. It was covered by extended warranty though.
If you have access to another D3 or RRS (07) you can pull out one of their sensors and swop to ensure it is the sensor that is faulty before you order one. If swopping out the sensor doen't work, you have to keep looking down the system. could be a wire fault in that case
