Rear protector behind spare wheel!!
Just doing some maintenance on the rear diff breather and when removing the spare wheel noticed the plastic protector was flapping as bottom rivets rusted out. So now removed but brackets are completely mullered! I would need to get fabricated two new brackets etc. However two questions, can you get the brackets and second is this protector necessary on the old girl or can I run without it. Thanks.

I ran my D3 for a good few years after it got ripped off, until she popped her clogs 4 years ago. Don’t worry about it, save your pennies/time/energy for bigger and more expensive jobs.
