| Rear silencers on LR4 2014 |

Hi, does anyone know if there's an issue with the rear silencers on the LR4? I was told today, by a fellow LR4 owner, that the original orientation of the silencers causes them to rust prematurely and they can be replaced under warranty? Having looked at mine today they are rusting on the weld seam. The other owner has had his replaced under warranty at the local dealership here in Bahrain. My car has been in the local dealership for two services now but nothing has been mentioned by the agent......

I know that the design of the rear boxes has changed. On my MY12 they were round (with rusty seems), whereas on my MY16 they are oblong (sort of) boxes.

That's the information that I have but I can't find anything on the Internet with regards to this being a warranty issue.....

When I had my MY2012 the o/s/r exhaust snapped just in front of the silencer, when I rang the garage they know exactly where it had snapped as they said it was a very common problem. They were just going to replace the silencer but Land Rover told them to replace the whole system. The only thing that I could suggest is to take it into your dealers and tell them you are worried about the corrosion on the exhaust and see what they say  Cheers Ian

All sorted. Got in contact with JLR CRC for MENA. Supplied photos of the corroded the silencers and they agreed to replace under warranty.
