Rear Spoiler Installation LR007581 |
|
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anybody could help me. I want to purchase a rear spoiler (LR007581) for my Disco3 and was wondering the ease of installation. Will I need to drill any holes in the tailgate?
many thanks
Matt

Thank you for your help. I'm still having mixed feelings about the spoiler but now have the 'non drilling' in the equation. After looking at the pictures I cannot help feeling that the spoiler protudes slightly, making it look slightly like an awning. Perhaps usefull for picnics.
Thanks again,
Matt

not quite - you don't notice it with the tailgate up! A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Matt. I was unlucky in as much as i hadn't saw one fitted, so i was a guinea pig, in as much as once it was fitted, i was stuck with it.
To be totally honest, it does grow on you and i now feel it helps reduce the spray on the rear door glass as well. More a fine mist on the glass than the usual covered in road traffic film.

Matt,
Do not try and replace/remove the high level rear brake light as it does not come out in one piece, other words it's a real pig to get out
I had mine replaced by the stealer due to water getting in (god knows how) on warranty and watched them try and get it out...oh my god what a real royal pain in the rear..
Think about it before you go ahead. Stadt Panzer Power

There is no drilling, the spoiler is bonded in place, but as Alan says getting the rear light out is a nightmare but if you take your time its quite do-able.
I think the end result is worth it, takes away from the rear end Van look.
