Rear Wiper Arm

I know its been discussed before, but canny find it.

Was washing mine today, and the rear wiper arm does'nt hug the window as it should, a lot of the begining and ending swipe misses the screen. Theres nowt wrong with the spring or arm, so I guess I need a new one.

I had read they were upgraded Question true or false, and how much are they Question anybody got one before I go to TLO

Thumbs Up Jason

I got a new one from TLO (only £9 odd) cos mine was always seizing up from all the crud that gets all over the back of the car in the winter. Finally got fed up with constantly having to clean and oil it. Got a new blade from him too for just under £8.

The new one, bears the same part number as the old one but with the words "Revision 4" (or something like that) after it. The return spring is much stronger and there is more clearance between the 2 parts of the arm at the hinge joint. Dead easy to fit. Just place the new arm on the spindle, ensuring that the blade is lined up on the cross on the rear window, and tighten the securing nut. Hoping I never have to lubricate it again now.
Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile

As a stop-gap, a liberal spray of penetrating oil on the spring and pivots will get things going again, but fcs keep it off the blade and the glass!
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
