Re-buying a D4??
I would welcome your thoughts on buying my old d4...
We need to sort out cars mainly a bigger car, that can tow 3.5, seat 5 and dogs well, and has some space for stuff as well as handle the cruise for work.
This got me back to the d4 as the d5 is out on looks and crazy costs for a disco.
At the dealer that day came in my disco of 2yrs ago, obviously perfect spec as I spec'd it from new. But when I sold it is had max 9k miles and it's now at 40k...which isn't too far off for its age but higher than I might like, although the price is good.
Is mileage a big deal... Is it better to get the car I know with spec I chose than not get the spec but get a more costly one with c10k miles?!
ThanksMike

If the price is right I'd definitely rather the devil I knew, the fact that you had it for its first 9k miles is a massive bonus when buying a used car, the chances of that opportunity are pretty slim, I'd grab it!

If it's been serviced and not abused that milage is negligible, with the 2 year LR warranty it's as good as buying a new one, if not better. Snap it up quick. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Lol. Mine’s got 155,000 miles on it. Still going strong. Oh what I’d do for only 44,000 on mine. I’d have no hesitation in repurchasing it personally.

I would definitely go for it. Mileage is not high.

Another advantage of the low mileage is you'll have much better choices of warranty if desired.

Thanks, so it seems like although lower mileage is better warranty wise, 40k is ok and the fact i broke it in softly and spec'd it - better.
Thanks - i think we are going to do it (ive reserved it) its just sorting out the cars to allow purchase now!Mike

Wrong way round. Buy it now then sort things out.
