Can anyone please advise me how to go about recalls or upgrades for my D3 05 plate. It has been serviced by a main dealer during its infancy. However I am the second owner and the vehicle was serviced by another non LR dealership when I purchased the car. Is it just a case of calling my local LR dealership with my registration/VIN number?? If there are upgrades or mods will LR complete these FOC even thou i am not the original keeper?! Many thanks

It sounds like you haven't registered your details with LR. Contact LR to see if they will allow you to register over the phone (make sure that you have your VIN handy). If they won't allow you to register this way, they will advise you of the correct approach.

Thanks for the reply, I contacted the main dealer who supplied the vehicle. they checked records and informed me that the vehicle had been into the workshop in 2007 and 2008. They took my details as the current keeper. However they did say contact LR customer servicies and register my details. I shall do that Wednesday during working hours and ask them to check their records also. I just want to be on the safe side and make sure that I haven't missed any important mods! Thanks again.

Link to useful telephone numbers for contacting Land Rover:
http://www.landrover.co.uk/gb/en/ownership...ntacts.htm
If a manufacturer launches a recall campaign for its vehicles (usually safety related), the status of the warranty on your vehicle (current or expired) does not matter.
Some recalls are so important that a vehicle owner is contacted by the manufacturer using information provided by the DVLA.
Other not so important recalls are carried out by the dealer when the vehicle goes for servicing, although this is where non-dealer serviced vehicles can "slip the net". Popping into a Land Rover dealer with your vehicle details is a way to find out if your vehicle has missed any recalls.
Brilliant site, I've found it excellent for all the information you need when owning a D3.

I have spoken to LR customer servicies who were extremely helpful. They checked out the vrm and said that the recalls had been done. Any urgent recall would be dealt with by tracking the current owners through the DVLA. Peace of mind
