Recommend stopovers on way to Inverness

Hi all
After taking advice from Robert, NC500, I’ve booked a motor home hire for May next year starting from Inverness. Didn’t fancy dragging the caravan behind the disco as we want to go to the far north and the NC500.
Can anyone recommend aB&B or hotel stopover around Dumfries for one night and also we’ll need one night in Inverness prior to hire. Not looking for anything fancy as just overnight.
Also, we will be visiting relatives in Dundee for 3/4 days on the way back so can anyone recommend somewhere to stay over eg AirB&B, lodge, etc close to Dundee.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Premier Inn in Inverness is very good and a cracking location on the river and right next to the City centre. On street parking there too.

Enjoy the NC500!

Do try to call-in on House of Bruar on A9 bit north of Pitlochry. Mostly eye-candy 'cos it's EXPENSIVE, but a really lovely cluster of quality outlets, plenty parking, can rest-up for tasty snacks.
Good place to scan for 2024 Christmas presents !! (I have NO connection with the business !!)

House of Bruar is always good and a handy half-way stop between Glasgow and Inverness. I've been stopping at Bruar a couple of times a week in recent months but for a more peaceful cup of coffee, close-by to Bruar, I much prefer the Water Mill in Blair Atholl. https://www.blairathollwatermill.co.uk Sitting outside in the garden there is so much more relaxing than the hustle and bustle of the tourist-trap up the road!

Thanks. Popped into house of bruar when at Pitlochry the other year, don’t think my wallet will take another visit.
Anyone any recommendations for accommodation for three or four days near Dundee, air b&b, etc. That’s the bit I’m struggling with at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

Does it need to be close to Dundee or a bit further out? I say this as I am a huge fan of the Angus glens and although they'd be best described as north of Dundee the glens are really worth some time at the very least driving up into. Glen Esk is my favourite and the https://www.gleneskhotel.com/ in nearby Edzell (NE of Dundee on the coastal plain) is excellent.

I own a house in Dundee and it has a spare couple of bedrooms, within a mile of Disco Mikeys no less, just not sure the Eldest and his GF would accept house guests as we don’t even get an invite! Rolling Eyes

Anyway, you pay for what you get, but I’d personally stay at Taypark House near the Waterfront in Dundee.

Thanks both.
I think Glen Esk will be too far out. I’ll take a look at the other suggestion.
As an aside, last time we visited I parked my caravan on a CL near to Disco Mickey. Dropped the disco off for full seven year service, all fluids changed and belts and made the wife use her e bike for two days. Worked well, I don’t know why she complained, the disco has run faultlessly since. Fantastic job as always from DM.!! Women eh.
This time we are without the van and having to think outside the box.
