Recommendation for electric parking brake replacement

Hi all.
New joiner here.
Had my discovery 3 for just under a year.

The EB parking brake is screeching and i understand the module needs replacing which is a bit of a pig to change according to youtube.

Can anyone advise whether Lancaster Reading will do the job correctly. Have got some quotes.

Any other places to get it done. I'm based in Reading

Thanks.

No I havent.

Was under the impression it was terminal failure of the module.

Will give it a go.

Thanks

Have seen many garages just quoting for a new complete unit when indeed some just need adjusting

Plus as mentioned can save ur self a fortune

Is recommend not to use the handbrake until you’ve got it fixed as it may do more damage

unjamming the actuator will not fix the underlying problem, which is slack in the system, you need to at least go through the adjustment procedure for the rear shoes or even replace the rear shoes, mine were sized so they wore down producing the slack.
