Recovery Ropes Group Buy

VA mentioned recovery ropes earlier. I decided out of the kindness of my heart to see if there would be any interest in a group buy of recovery ropes. The ropes are the same as supplied to LRE Eastnor. Spec is 24mmØ 12t rating with a hook and a wear sleeve each end. I have used these ropes quite a lot and swear by them, they do stretch so are quite forgiving. The advantage of having hooks each end is you don’t need to mess about with shackles. See a rope in this picture, Martin waiting in Slimers car for us to recover him (during the competition in Morocco I might add Razz ).

Rough Prices to start
2m £30
4m £37
8m £43

Anyway if you peeps want to get a group buy organised post your interest above.

Already got some - But I can vouch for their effectiveness, they are NOT kinetic ropes but do have a 10% stretch which makes a good shock absorber
highly recommended Thumbs Up

It was pulling you out (a competitor BTW) that caused my car to dig itself in more than I had anticipated Whistle and I reckon you had the brakes on most of the time Rolling Eyes so there Confused Razz

After having struggled to get a shackle onto the front recovery point of Discostu's car with the Mantec guard in place, I will also have one of these thanks.

Rope length? Who knows? In the picture above a 9m rope is being used, this is a good length if you need to wrap the rope around a protected tree to self recover. If you think you will always be with another vehicle then I would suggest a 5m or 6m length would suffice.

Remember if you wanted to use it to tow a vehicle on the road, there is a maximum legal length (4.5m or 5m from memory).
This is why I got a 5m rope - rightly or wrongly.
