I don't think they can test for NO2 (or not required to, or don't have that equipment at MOT stations at present)

I forgot to say my mate with the FFRR said the tester pulgged into his obd socket and the cable went back to the smoke machine, why I dont know?
Maybe its measuring the ex gas and under certain condition expects to see the mix change as the egr cycles?

I clarified the new rules with my local friendly MOT man.
As long as the pipes are fitted and look like they are working then they can't fail it.
Back to the original question, has anybody connected both ends of the pipe back up after blanking or does everybody leave the top connection disconnected? 1995 Discovery 1 300TDI

Yes, I connected both ends. Passed ok.
You can always whip the pipes off afterwards.
When I say passed, it passed emissions and failed on rear upper suspension bushes which had been done only 12 months ago
Glad to be shot of it tbh!

Did you cut the protruding end off?
If not how did you connect it, by just using a plate at the egr end and connecting the top as per original ?
Cheers

Yes, that’s it. Bolt on thru the blank on the bottom and reconnect top without plates.

Cheers Andy and TC, that was what I meant to ask originally. annoyingly I don't have the stubs so need to find a set of this too
Will just leave them loose for the MoT and sort out later. 1995 Discovery 1 300TDI
