Refresh rate

On the "New Posts" screen, at the bottom left of the screen, there is a little pull down menu of refresh times. I presume that these are auto refresh settings. No matter what I set, it reverts to No Refresh. Does this work?

Refresh rate:
No Refresh 2 mins 3 mins 5 mins 10 mins 20 mins 30 mins

It's a little temperamental at the mo, close down all your browsers then try again. I'm sure Martin will come up with something better soon

I've had the same problem with Firefox so I don't think it's a browser issue

Gareth, does it appear to reload the page if you choose a different refresh rate?

Any JavaScript errors being reported?

Martin, yes it does reload the page if I select one from the drop down, no errors reported. The sequence is this;

1. Click on the drop down arrow - drop list has No Refresh, 2 mins, etc.
2. Select a refresh rate - 2 mins for example
3. Upon mouse click, the page refreshes.
4. If you look at the Refresh Option it has returned to No Refresh, but no error reported.

You knew all that, but my programmers always ask for more info, so there you go.

Cheers

Right to do this properly I've got to play with the PHP script, and not faff about in JavaScript too much Smile

New refresh system in place, a mixture of PHP and JavaScript driven to try and knock out some of the probs. Feedback as usual please Smile

Thanks very much for the sequence of events, absolutely brilliant and just what I needed to get it sorted Very Happy

Martin, just noticed that the refresh prompt disappears completely when the "No topics or posts met your search criteria" message is showing.

Can you put the prompt there in this situation?

It does indeed disappear, unfortunately the "No topics or posts met your search criteria" screen is a totally separate page from the search results page.

For you though Gareth, I'll give it a go Laughing
