Going away from the car I sometimes question if I have locked it and use the remote to lock it (again probably).

What I have discovered is that if I am out of range (indicators do not flash) then if I hold the remote against the side of my head then that is frequently enough to extend the range and the indicators flash.

I have not carried out any experiments but it might add 50% to the range.

Holding the key to your head is an old trick, that no one believes unless they have tried it! Thumbs Up

my grandad bought a Lexus years ago that had keyless entry. No matter how many times it was explained he just couldn't get his head around why it was always unlocked when he went back to double check it Laughing

Walks away and presses lock
gets a few more steps
thinks "I better check that's locked ok"
walks back
dammit it's unlocked!

It is to do with the water in our heads. Hold the key up to a plastic container of water and it will boost the signal distance even further. Lots online about it.
