Removable tow bar

Hello just bought a removable tow bar from another forum member just seeking guidance on how to properly fit it as am struggling to get it in the car and to lock it in place.

Can anyone please advise me?

unlock it ...pull outward and turn the green handle until the pin at the back of the towbar goes in .

Push the towbar in the socket in the car ... G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Yes got that far but then the green handle doesn't seem to go back in meaning I cannot lock the tow bar in position. So does it maybe need a firmer shove into the car?
