Removing access code from bluetooth ??

My Blackberry connects to the bluetooth facility no problem with the land rover asking for me to enter the access code.

My gripe is that each time I switch off the car or move away with the phone and return or switch the car back on I have to re enter the access code to reconnect.

On my other car fitted with a Parrott bluetooth it connects everytime without a code.

Can I bypass the code so the landrover automatically connects to my phone??

i had this problem with my blackberry. i spent ages fiddling with the blackberry bluetooth settings and it now connects everytime. Problem is i have no idea what i actually did. Duncan

Thanks I thought it was a security setting but can't find it as yet.

on your blackberry if you go to :

-setup bluetooth
- select LANDROVER
-device properties
and set trusted to yes

instead of device properties, then select "options"

set "discoverable" to YES

this should do it, i think

Blackberry security

This is not a problem w/the vehicle, it is your Blackberry. Blackberry phones have a specific security setup for bluetooth. In your phone there is a menu for always "trusting" Land Rover. This setting should be under the bluetooth menu. You my also want to visit the Land Rover website to check compatibilty & phone software levels.

Set as authorised or trusted is a standard BT setting on all handsets and for any BT device. Even a laptop with BT builtin, you need to set a paired device as authorised / trusted.

The option will be there somewhere.

When you have set to trusted etc (as above), when it nexts asks if you want to connect, tick the little box on the blackberry that says 'always use this setting' then it will autoconnect.
