Removing the air vent

How easy is it to remove the air vent? I've been on GTR and the only mention I can see is in the instructions for the Snorkel - they suggest you just pull it out - are there some lugs that need to be prised open first?

I remove my air intake grill after washing so I can stop annoying dribbles.

All you have to do is hold the central bar, lift gently upwards (but with a bit lift), and pull the bottom of the vent towards you.

It's pretty easy.

Good Luck!

I recently asked the same question. I did what you said but there was no movement at all.
Could somebody describe what the LR procedure is?

I've tried to add pictures to my gallery, to describe it (I did try video, but I couldn't hold my phone, and remove the grill at the same time).

But basically, you lift the centre up (towards the outsides, and it does take a bit of strength) and pull so the bottom outwards.

I have tried to include photo's of what the clips which hold the vent in place look like.

My apologies if this doesn't help, but if you need me to clarify something, just drop me a message.

Cheers,

Dave.

Well my Dealer's technician doesn't know the removal procedure because the top clips on mine are now busted after they fitted the raised air intake.

Luck I don't need to fit it again.
