Removing the front cigarette mouning panel.
Trying to remove the front cigarette and ash tray mounting, have removed the 2 securing screws and pulled it free from its mounting clips, but it still seems to be attached somewhere as it won't come out any further that about 15mm, am I missing something?
Any points would be appreciated.

I think from memory there are two clips at the back? You may also need to remove the plastic section below it? You must have the radio surround off I assume to get the screws out?
There is a good post with pictures on the forum, try search...

Yes screws removed and clips pulled free, just can't tell if the bottom section needs to be removed, it actually feels like there is still something attached?
Yes tried the search but got nothing, will try again.
Update finally found something with a pic which answers my question thanks anyway

Sorry, trying to remember how I got mine out. Does this pic from Wiggs gallery help:
You have to get that back clip out too you see, but its just the clips that hold it in once the bolts are out as far as I can remember...
I have a great thread bookmarked... on my home PC sorry!

you need to remove the part underneath it ...and to get that out you have to remove the top of the center consulG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Anyone got any pics of whats behind this? I'm planning to drill a hole top left hand corner of the photo above to route a USB lead from a Brodit Phone Holder - then run through the dash to the fuses at passengers feet - any help would be appreciated - Brian
