Removing panel below steering wheel

If I would like to remove the panel below the steering wheel (panel - instrument - lower is what LR calls it, [1]), do I just pull from the top towards me or is there something else which keeps it in place? It seemed like it’s held in place with those small metallic clips.

I was chasing down annoying vibrating sounds while driving and noticed the panel seems to rattle. Kind of assumed it’s missing a clip since it seemed slightly loose on the door side.

Thanks.

If it is the panel on the bottom right of those drawings then yes it just pulls down and off. Two clips at the top and curved arms on the bottom.

eBay Item No. 261694273624

These are the clips.

Yes, that panel. The one that chills the nuts on a hot summer day 8)

Thanks for the pointer to fleabay, one can get the clips “slightly” cheaper elsewhere (I’ll do a bigger order so I don’t get screwed on shipping) Whistle https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-FYC500040

Think you pull it at the bottom.

Grab the top just under the steering cowel and give a sharp pull away. There are two clips at the top, and as Batfink says, it will swivel down on two curved arms at the bottom.

Not often you're wrong fella but … pull from the top. And listen as any remaining clips drop into the abyss behind the panel, never to be found again.

Remembered I have a Haynes for TDV6 which isn’t useful on the engine side but is for other things. In chapter 12, section 28, picture 28.14 it says pull on upper edge and shows the clips being on top. Thumbs Up

Thanks to everyone’s hive mind Bow down

Just watch those clips, they almost break the sound barrier as they zing away. Whistle
