You do lose everything but as the Sat nav s is awful anyway its no real drama..

I fitted a kenwood system with garmin nav to mine and mounted an iPad mini with os mapping where the d3 nav was.

As yours is a HSE with the HK system it’s very hard. Read through the various discussions here before deciding what you do. It is possible to move the current stereo and hide it leaving it still connected so you don’t loose other things but from what I’ve read here it’s not a mod for the faint hearted.

If your new system has sat nav, Bluetooth, aux in, reversing camera, front camera, etc, you don’t Lose anything really that you are not replacing. All I lost was the clock and the 4x4 info both of which I was comfortable without.

I'm the same definitely what I'm looking for! Is it a DIY job or you get someone to do it?

I got someone to do it, he had to route the dab antenna and the mike for the Bluetooth and I didn’t fancy that.

There is another thread on it about but it was about £ 900 for the head unit, £150 for the wiring loom (for the steering wheel controls etc) and about £200-250 for the labour?

In my case the front and rear camera were already in place and simply inserted into the back of the head unit.

I then had a 3 mobile WiFi device (MIFI) that both the iPad and the head unit connected too (plus the kids!!) and it was all sorted.

When the iPad was not displaying OS maps for laning it was my music centre Very Happy
