Has anyone had to have a door mirror unit replaced yet? (jousting with a Range Rover, in my wife's instance )
I've been quoted £200 by the local dealer, and I've been unable to source one from any of the online car-part websites.
Any advice appreciated

My wife went hedge trimming in our D3 the other day, glass only was broken and it cost £29.00 inc which I thought wasn't bad really.....as I say glass only on a base model. http://www.island-weather.co.uk

Glass only is $82USD on an SE model. I bought one, tried to put it on myself and broke it as well!! #2 just arrived in the parts department, I'll let the techs snap this one on.

I think it was a draw... although my unit was pretty smashed up... ... but it looks more like a "real" off-roader now that its got a battle scar
"hedge-trimming" And I thought it was just my missus that did that! Even if there's nowt coming the other way, she'll still be half in the ditch

My Disco is still intact but a passing mobile home demolished the mirror on the VW Caravelle I had before (on Christmas Day 2004 - what a present ). The repair cost about €300 here in Germany (about £200). However, only around half of that was for the replacement parts.

Ours didn't cost much to replace when the O/S mirror was smacked by 'white van man'. However, the replacement had a different magnification to the N/S???
Very confusing to drive like that so they both were replaced to a matching pair of mirrors FOC (after a good moan) Richard

Just a quick follow-up to say the mirror has now been successfully replaced; £75 for the part from an LR specialist parts dealer, and then £22 for my local garage to fit it. I would've done it myself, but I can't even hang a picture without making a huge hole in the wall first
Thanks for everyone's help - much appreciated
