Replacing front ciggy lighter socket |
|
Hi,
My '56 HSE has one 'aux 12v' socket in the front dash beside the ash tray, and then a ciggy lighter - instruction book says not to use the ciggy lighter socket for anything else.............so can I easily replace it with a 12v socket - is there an OEM part that will just plug in, anyone know the part number if there is ?
Thanks,
Jim Jim

Cant say I ever had a problem using mine as a power source before I removed the smokers type ( ashtray 12v & cig lighter) and replaced it with the double 12v one ( non smokers pack).
Part number for a single 12v socket if you do wish to change it is YXW500030PVJ and is easily swapped over
