Request for 'removal of Tailgate handle instructions' |
|
I have searched and given up.
Can anyone point me to a PDF file or similar diagram/instructions for changing tailgate handle?
I know you have to pull off trim from inside but mine is not moving !

can't post links from lowly n95, but try searching for ladder fitting instructions I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Just replaced mine 5 mins ago.The inner trim is tight but I carefully prised mine out with my fingers at the nearside corner and worked it along towards the centre of the car in order to access the 3x10mm nuts.I also pulled it away towards the window. This was tighter but it came away with firm pressure and nothing broke, this made access much easier.15 minutes from start to finish.
Good Luck,Graeme 2007 TDV6 XS Auto.

Don't laugh lads my local dealer still wants an hours labour for this job so matter how much evidence I produce.
Thanks for links

Am I right in assuming this is the same process to replace the tailgate handle? And that the GTR document just shows "pull hard" for both inside trim and the handle itself?
Cheers!

Handle itself needs some some screws undone from inside, hence the need to remove the interior trim. Click the link and enter the ref. to download a pdf instruction manual I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Many thanks Neil, got it!
Have to say LR instructions are : there's no indication between steps 2 and 3 that the handle has torx screws retaining it (ok I guess one would notice when the inner lining is detached )
