Went into hospital yesterday.
11am "Now Mr White Disco the stents are in your heart all you have to do is lie down and get plenty of rest while you are here in the hospital" said the Cardiologist.
11:05am "Just here to do your obs"
11:12am "Everything allright in here"
11:15am "Here to do some more obs.' "Any pain?"
11:20am "oh you know you have a $500 excess on your hospital bill?"
11:30am "More obs' "Give us a look at your groin"
11:35am WD gets to sleep
11:40am "You need any pastoral care?"
and so on till
6:00am next day "Hi I'm Freddy here to check your obs.
6:05am "Breakfast"
Etc, etc, etc.
How the are you to get rest with all this going on?
No wonder they dish out pain killers. They are there to stop you abusing the staff.
They do do a good job though Overworked/ understaffed etc. Did get a good view of Rupert Murdoch's Mothers little farm next door. Did you think I would leave you crying,
When there's room in my D3 for 7,
Climb in here Joe we'll soon be flying,
I can go just as fast with 7.

Thanks for the good wishes chaps.
Well & truely on the mend. 8 weeks off work though. I am actually looking forward to Tues when I can get back to looking at dirt. Another 2 months before I can drive a train though (by law ).
Tanters: by that thought Rupert must be a big, big farmer.
SKP: hope you are on the mend too. Funny about the month of june for D3 drivers though as june last year Simon Arch & myself both lost our gall bladders. Did you think I would leave you crying,
